Such A Pretty Face

I took the pictures above of TJ as we were sitting around on the front lawn just hanging out and he looked so regal and authoritative. He is such a handsome dog.
And then I took these pictures below because this dog is so hilarious sometimes too. We got this new toy and TJ took a liking to it right away. We decided to hang it up around his neck and watch him try to get it...cheap entertainment, I know...but, hey, these are lean times...we have to come up with something to do that doesn't cost money...LOL.

I love this dog! He makes me smile and warms my heart.

Happy 43rd Birthday Jaybird!

I love this picture. I couldn't resist, with the gorgeous 85 degree weather we've been having here in California, to take the opportunity to take a picture of my guy and our babies. This was a memorable day, to say the least. Happy Birthday, Jaybird!

A Natural Beauty

Look at this beauty!!  I took several pictures of this gorgeous bird.  I'm not sure exactly which species it falls into, but I just loved how wonderfully graceful it was.  I plan on doing a painting of this guy at some point.  This picture was taken at a women's retreat for my church in Murrieta Hot Springs, California a couple weeks ago.  Here are a couple more pictures:

Sun was starting to set here...

Sun went down a little farther here...

Can you tell I love sunsets???  LOL

I love this one because it's totally California!!  The weather was wonderful...sunny and in the 70's the whole time.  What a great weekend.

I'm sorry for those of you who are still knee-deep in snow...c'mon out to California!  We'll spoil you for future winter/springs in your area.

God Bless!

Soul Survivor

Here is a picture of my guy in the memorial garden in front of City of Hope.  This gate is spectacular and is a physical reminder of what the motto of the hospital is.  It's a wonderful place to receive care.  I absolutely love this place...

AOL Community Photo Entry - Encinitas at Sunset

Here is a picture that was taken in Encinitas, California yesterday.  This is winter in California.  Don't ya love it?!  This was a special day because I got to spend the day with my honey.  We had a special date night last night.  It was lovely.

Water Lilies or Some Kind of Plant from Kauai

Photo taken by JCH - 12/2007

We stumbled upon a roadside nursery in Kauai and found this plant, a water lily or something like that.  I thought the colors were just so beautiful and then the design looks like a mosaic.  Simply beautiful!

A New Kind of Journal

Photo taken by Christine Racz 9/2006  www.raczphotography.com

This is something new for me...I have never been much of a photographer, but I thought that it would be a fun thing to do now.  Jay has been such an inspiration to me as he has been fighting colon cancer since 2006.  Now, more than ever, it is important to create a legacy for ourselves.  So, although I did not take this picture, it is the first picture to be posted because I want to make sure that my honey knows that it is for him.  He is my hero.

I love you my Jaybird, and this journal is dedicated specifically to you.  Here is to our journey together...
